Spawn Attack!

Ahh spring break.... A lovely time when all the spawn are home and I neglect my blog. My kids are keeping me on my toes and to add to the fun my husband has a MAN COLD!!!! Oh no, not that! Yes my dears, 'tis true my husband needs to be babied as well this week. So far I have dragged the kids out to the park for a walk that took way too long because we got lost in the woods, fun! I am still massaging my sore calf muscles from that one! I also have kicked them out of the house to play with neighbors the majority of the time. Today we are going down to the river to play on the rocks and hopefully not get lost again! I also have to stop by the post office because I am the lamest swap partner EVER! I still have not sent off my Wild Olive swap yet. I have no excuse other than I am eternally busy and I feel awful about it. What's so ridiculous is that I finished my embroidery for the swap ages ago but just haven't gotten to the frickin' post office. I suck.

Fuzzy Face

"Not the beard!" as said by Gimli in Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship of the Ring I have a weakness when it comes to men, beards! Yes I am a beard FAN! I don't know when it started but I really enjoy men with beards of all kinds. My sweet husband is definitely one of those men! He has been growing a beard since December and it was beautiful! It was thick, fuzzy, soft, and I loved every hair in it. Then the warm weather started to come back. My husband works for our local utilities and is outside most of the time. So he gave me a warning that he was shaving it off but I begged and begged him not to. He kept it for a while longer but last night did the deed. Here is my sweet husband before:

Okay he kept some of it but it's not the same! I feel like I'm kissing a stranger! However my hubby promised he will grow it back when it gets cold again, sigh....

Birthday Wishes

Today my old man turns another year older, but he's still 11 months younger than me! We met 18+ years ago. We moved incredibly quickly, marrying a year after we met. We've had ups and downs like everyone. But he's still here by my side. This past year has been really hard on him, he lost his Mom in February. He's still working through that. But he is surrounded by the love of our wacky family. So today on his 38th birthday we celebrate his life! Happy Birthday Honey!
