Oh Boy!

Summer is officially started in our house! Yea!!! Graduation ceremonies have been held, final exams are finished, and the kids are so excited! I always loved the beginning of summer feeling, so many possibilities await! So now for some pics!
I am going to be in so much trouble, just look how beautiful my girlies are:

On another note, I want to join some sort of blog challenge or link party but I haven't decided which one to go for. I like the idea of challenging myself daily. Are there any out there you like to do?

I also want to really stock up my etsy store. I have a tendency to give away my crafts, but I'd really like to sell some too! Maybe I should challenge myself to some sort of craft challenge. Also, what is the deal with this new t.v. show?

How did I miss this? My BFF Dede and I MUST get on this show! I will definitely be glued to the t.v.!

New Needleworks!

I have been sewing away lately and have come up with three new embroideries to share! I have put these in my etsy store too if anyone's interested. First up, a bright and colorful chicken:
Next up a cool Asian style dragon:
Last but not least, some cute purple flowers:
I had a lot of fun making these. All of the embroideries are original designs too! I'm happy with how they turned out.

Whew!

I just put a whole bunch of new necklaces up at my shop (check it out at www.variform.etsy.com). I am so happy with my lightbox! I followed directions from http://drawingsinmotion.blogspot.com/2009/01/making-of-light-box.html. It was so easy and cheap! The whole box folds flat so I can tuck it away and keep it safe from the rugrats and dogs. Next I am going to work on something to hold my finished necklaces. I want to make some kind of rack or peg thing. I'll keep you posted!

On another note, when is the rain going to stop? I am ready to start planning my garden. But the ground is so wet there's no point yet. I want to plant tomatoes, cucumbers, squash, zucchini, green beans, and some herbs. I had an herb garden out front of my house but some damn neighborhood cat claimed it as their litterbox and killed them all, urgh! Anyone have any natural ways to keep cats from doing that? I never caught the boogar in action, just found the evidence. I'll search the internet for ideas...
