My New Mailbox

Our old mailbox was falling apart, not to mention boring and the same old mailbox everyone has. So we got a shiny new metal mailbox and I attacked with paint! I decided to paint a rooster on it and change the color to bright blue. I wanted to keep it very simple, yet make it stand out. I like the way it came out, and it is definitely the only mailbox like it!

Painting

I actually completed this painting a while ago but am just now getting around to taking a picture of it. I was inspired by some poster print I saw at a store and did my own version:

I know I have some talent creating crafty things but lately I have also been dabbling in painting. So here are some of my works:




I really like painting, especially bright colors. Bright colors cheer me up! Earlier while painting my youngest also wanted to paint. So I gave her some canvas and let her go at it. I told her to be very careful with the paint, they were acrylics, and to only use a little bit. I told her they were "real artist paint" and her response was "But Mom we are real artists!" I love my kids!
